The Lebanese American Business Council (LAB-C), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce and SelectUSA announced the lineup of global executives, business leaders, and U.S. government representatives who will participate in the SelectUSA2023 Investment Summit which starts at 8:00 am on Monday 1 May and ends Thursday 4 May in Maryland.
Some of the Lebanese delegates were invited to meet with H.E. Ambassador Dorothy C. Shea at the American Lebanese Chamber of Commerce in downtown, Beirut and discussed the second participation of Lebanon through LAB-C in the upcoming summit and the opportunities that could arise from collaboration starting by creating job opportunities all the way to developing markets.
It is worth noting that, despite all the difficulties that Lebanon and its private institutions have been going through for years, this event proves the seriousness and endeavor of businessmen in Lebanon to develop and build bridges with the United States in order to modernize and enable trade relations between the two countries.
This summit is sponsored by the White House and as in last year’s event, President Joe Biden will deliver a statement during the Plenary Sessions.

The SelectUSA Investment Summit is the highest-profile event in the United States dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI.) This year’s Investment Summit returns in its familiar format to provide exciting opportunities for more investors from more markets and greater representation from economic developers (EDO) across the nation to engage and interact.
Historically, the Investment Summit attracts more than 1,200 business investors from approximately 80 international markets who join economic developers from almost all U.S. states and territories.
